San Diego Airport Expansion

CAIVP Jump Starts Public Dialogue on San Diego’s Waterfront/Airport.

The CAIVP San Diego Waterfront Plan and its offspring, the Lindbergh Intermodal Center, are the first local community projects sponsored by CAIVP. San Diego’s bay front and airport planning are both a mess. CAIVP posed the question, if airport and community planners worked together could they build a cutting edge 21st Century transportation hub and at the same time protect and enhance the environmental values of this bayside paradise?

Thanks to the attention of San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders local leaders from around the region are now meeting to address this challenge. And, the CAIVP work that jumpstarted the conversation has been nominated for a prestigious community planning award.

All the elements are here for you to join the conversation.

This will be the biggest

This will be the biggest waste of Money in San Diego's history. San Diego needs a new airport not a train station.
