California Tax Reform

While politicians argue over tax cuts and tax increases, a more fundamental problem eats away at the core of California’s economy. The State’s byzantine tax code creates perverse incentives that limit economic growth and discourage job creation. Experts of all political and philosophical stripes have recognized the structural weakness in California’s hodge podge of tax policies for years but, policy makers have consistently stalled on any serious discussions aimed at reform. It’s a conversation Californian’s must have now.
